The holidays for the private sectors has been announced
The date for the Islamic New Year 2022 holiday has been officially announced by The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE).
The public holiday date for the Islamic New Year 2022 has been decided according to the lunar system, which will occur on Saturday, July 30th.
As the date is revealed, there will be an official paid holiday on Saturday for all the private sector employees in UAE.
The people who already work from Monday to Friday will not get any day off from work for the Hijri New Year, but those who work six days a week will enjoy the public holiday.
UAE will celebrate Commemoration Day on December 1st and UAE National Day from December 2nd to December 3rd. Residents often receive two days off to celebrate these occasions. Therefore the start of December is with a four-day weekend.
The first day of the month of Muharram is the Islamic New Year, and the date shows a sign of the beginning of Islam as a community.
The next official public holiday in the UAE is expected to be held Saturday, October 8th for the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
